CSA Press Release – Conference Features

CSA Conference Features Exclusive Networking Lounge and Product Display Area

Scheduled for Wednesday 31st March at The Crystal in London, the first ‘Making Buildings Work’ conference has been further enhanced through the inclusion of a dedicated networking area. Having already won the backing of both Ashford Environmental Services and Media Control – two of the leading names in commissioning – the event can now boast a discussion and networking area where delegates can engage with a select number of product and service providers. Positioned adjacent to the main conference theatre, all refreshments and the buffet lunch will be served in the networking lounge, allowing attendees to discuss and debate the wealth of information being presented by the complement of Speakers.

People too often think of commissioning as the final exercise in bringing a building into use, but this is incorrect. To ensure that its occupants can properly use any building, commissioning needs to be considered at the very outset of the project, with that consideration continuing throughout each stage of the project from concept through design, planning and installation.

Having a broad range of products and services represented at the event – which is aimed at property developers, architects, main contractors, facilities management consultants and MEP service providers – will further help to ensure that an information rich, value for money day is provided for all those who have a vested interested in ensuring the commissioning phase of any build project is delivered correctly and on time.

To help deliver this event, the CSA has assembled an impressive line-up of speakers from across the construction, building services and commissioning arena which include:

  • Ian Ellis of Siemens Building Technologies
  • Adam Muggleton, the renowned Building Whisperer
  • Remi Suzan of Gratte Brothers
  • Liz Day of CWT Consultants
  • Terry Sharp, Vice President of the BCIA
  • Nick Till of Banyards

CSA Chairman, Mark Todd, will Chair the concluding panel discussion, whereby delegates will have the opportunity to interact with all the day’s Speakers.

Commenting on the event, Mark Todd said, “this suite of presentations and talks, along with the resulting discussions will provide valuable insight into the correct way to design, plan and install building services to ensure optimum best practice and in turn a successful commissioning phase, leading to a correctly working building. I would invite everyone with an interest in good, effective commissioning to book their place.”

Through the support of the event sponsors, delegate fees have been kept to the bare minimum at just £95.00 +VAT per person, which includes all refreshments and a buffet lunch.
