The MTC’s terminal building will encompass 700,000 sqm of internal space, together with approximately 28,000 sqm of retail and F&B outlets.
Piers will accommodate up to 65 aircraft, including the Airbus A-380. Check-in is capable of handling around 8,500 passengers per hour Check-in will provide 165 conventional counters and 48 self-service kiosks. Baggage system is designed to process over 19,000 bags per hour with over 22 kilometers of conveying lines and 10 reclaim carousels. Associated support buildings take up an additional 800,000sqm, and will include access to 16-20 aircraft parking stands dedicated to cargo.
Core Emirates has been appointed directly by the developer, ADAC as their third party Commissioning Authority. Responsible for the coordination and completion of duties required, covering design, installation and the commissioning process. These activates include HVAC, HV, LV, BMS, SCADA, EMPS, ICT, together with all other airport specialist systems. Moreover we have a dedicated team focused on the Fire Life Safety and the implementation of the Integrated Systems Test (IST). This is one of the largest projects in the GCC and to date, Core Emirates has supplied several highly qualified managers and support team.
