2021 Round Up

2021 has been another successful and diversified year for Core Emirates. Geographically we have expanded our footprint within Kingdom of Bahrain and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, having successfully completed some major schemes in the data centre and energy sectors, together with the delivery of some mixed-use facilities. Locally we continue to strengthen our list of developer relationships and new clients that have used our services for expert witness and claims disputes.

As we enter 2022, we have secured some exciting projects with new and existing clients, we have significantly enhanced our digital software platform, Core Centrum, allowing our clients, developers and building owners access and view progress and an accurate database of building information.

Internally, I’m immensely proud of our new, and existing staff, all of whom continue to go above and beyond to deliver a premier service for our clients. This year has also further solidified our strategic partnerships with Craig Eadie at Straightline Consulting and Facility Grid and looking forward to releasing further details in Q1 of 2022. Our Managing Partner Lee Hewitt continues to dedicate personal time as the Chairman of the Commissioning Specialists Association having written articles, attended webinars and has been working with the UK technical team to release a new Commissioning Management grading module allowing applicants from all disciplines to apply.

In conclusion Core Emirates wants to say a huge thankyou to all our staff, new & existing clients, and friends for your support during 2021 and we are looking forward to what 2022 has to offer.

Monthly Update

The holy month of Ramadan and its reduced working hours have had little impact to our day-to-day operations. With a myriad of tenders to plough through, official appointments for another 2 no Data Centre’s in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, together with an engagement for our O & M department where we are fast tracking a suite of O & M’s and Training Manuals, it is business as usual for the team.

With our regional partner, Andy Britnell being in town from the UK, focus has been on solidifying partnerships that will enable the business to operate in the wider GCC marketplace with absolute confidence, so exciting times ahead. Additionally, our internal HR platform has been significantly updated which is far more intuitive and interactive for all users.

Our managing partner, Lee Hewitt continues to dedicate his personal time as the Chairman of the GCC CSA, where he, in collaboration with other committee members in this focus group, have written a three-part series on Commissioning that has been published on the usual platforms by CPI’s Climate Control Magazine (March April and May) and these articles will be uploaded imminently. What’s also very encouraging has been the sharp uptake in CSA applicants in the last quarter for educational courses.

Mr Fadi Alamat is our second Jordanian Core employee by the same name. Fadi was already known to the business, comes with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and has previously been engaged by some of the region’s major contracting companies. Fadi’s earlier Military background is evident in his structured approach to his duties, and we are looking forward to developing his skills further as he embarks on the client delivery of a large-scale mixed-use development in Bahrain.

Mr. Loreto Almoite has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. Having seconded Loreto’s services on multiple occasions, when the opportunity presented itself, his appointment was simply a formality. Loreto has strong technical skills, adapts to new challenges and has worked on some of the GCC’s largest developments including the Midfield Terminal project with our team.

Bartolome Baliuag AKA “Bart” comes also from an electrical background with a BSc but has since developed a keen eye for anything ELV. Bart has been in the region for over a decade so is well versed in our market sector having delivered some major schemes. Previous engagements with main contractors, contractors and specialist consultancies allow Bart to the hit the ground running as a valued member of the Core team.

Core Emirates Christmas Get Together 2019

As always, it’s a busy time of year for the business with new projects starting over the last few weeks, however with the festive season upon us, this month’s update focuses on our staff.

Firstly, a warm congratulations to our Managing Partner Lee Hewitt and family on the safe arrival of their 4th addition, Jaxon Hewitt, born on the 14th October.

Jaxon was introduced to his extended Core Emirates family at our Xmas get together where the majority of staff were able to attend. The venue was the fantastic Jumeirah Golf Estates private suite catering for all families culinary requirements.

Lee and Andy provided a brief overview for the year ahead before the festivities began. With cash prize “lucky dips”, colouring competitions for the kids, a professional magician and concluding with the obligatory putting competition, everyone had a great time in readiness for what 2020 has in store for us all.

A special thanks to our wonder woman Susan for the organisation of the event which leaves us to wish all our staff, employers, associates and friends a very Merry Xmas and Happy New Year in advance.
